Job Purpose
Provide leadership in a new team inside Chartered‘s Design Services team which is focused on leveraging our relationships with our third party design partners and driving joint business opportunities. The Solutions Architect will drive pre–sales customer engagements to meet at the customer with our third party partners. The Solutions Architect team will also be charged with driving structure and efficiency in working and supporting the regional field engineering and sales teams. An ideal candidate will possess good technical background augmented with good management, business, and sales skills. Candidate must be able to understand Chartered’s overall business and product strategies, the targeted customers‘ requirements, and have experience in IC design, EDA/IP and the third party design industry. Good communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills with proven influence management experience is required. This position reports to the Solutions Architect Director within the Design Enablement Alliances team.
The Solutions Architect Manager for Libraries and Memories will be the central point for our pre–sales work with our Library & Memory Compiler partners including ARM, Virage Logic, Synopsys and others. You will work with Chartered's Library / Memory Compiler partners to develop a rich set of joint sales collateral. You will coordinate partner sales training to the Chartered field organization and present Chartered training to partner sales organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and foster close relationships with Library / Memory Compiler partners to identify potential joint business opportunities.
- Manage and develop joint customer opportunities and drive a "meet at the customer" approach.
- Leverage joint customer opportunities to drive the technical development of partner solutions for Chartered process technologies.
- Partner with Chartered account teams on the account strategy and provide support in pre–sales engagements as the Library & Memory Compiler expert.
- Develop joint technical collateral including datasheets, application notes, white papers, contributed articles, etc.
- Work, in conjunction with Marcom team, opportunities for joint partner marketing events
- Develop, plan and execute Infrastructure Development for supporting the field organization in areas of design solutions.
- Coordinate US Field Training for libraries and memories.
Experience:
- 10 yrs experience in IC design, EDA and/or IP industry required.
- 3–5 yrs experience in strategic marketing and/or global account sales required.
- 3–5 yrs experience in business development and / or managing 3rd party programs required.
Essential Attributes:
- Well developed interpersonal and influence management skills a must.
- Strong communication and presentation skills required.
- Leverage joint customer opportunities to drive the technical development of partner solutions for Chartered process technologies.
Education: BSEE degree(s) preferred or equivalent experience
