Job Purpose
Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing, one of the world’s top dedicated semiconductor foundries, offers leading-edge technologies down to 45 nanometer, enabling today’s system-on-chip designs. We are looking for a Technical Development Manager to work on a team to manage Chartered Semiconductors third-party (EDA, IP, Library and Design services) alliances worldwide in concert with Chartered’s overall product and business strategies, inclusive of the Common Platform, supporting all product development efforts and business organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Role requires candidate to be able to develop, execute and market the third party relationships and solutions with these partners to drive joint business opportunities and increased design wins for Chartered.
- Working with Chartered’s account managers and field engineers, this candidate will provide leadership in architecting customer solutions which ensure technical and business requirements are met, while at the same time ensuring consistency and maximum leverage of Chartered’s overall third party design enablement efforts worldwide.
- Responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining the business and management relationships between Chartered and third party EDA, IP and Design Service partners such that Chartered becomes their preferred foundry partner.
- Comprehend and formulate third party design eco-system strategy to support application segment driven sales approach.
- Work with Product Marketing, internal Design Services division and field organization on the definition and development of the third party design enablement portions of Chartered's product offering, including Platform oriented solutions roadmaps.
- Drive the marketing and promotion portions of projects between Chartered and third party design enablement partners ensuring Chartered's offering is used as much as possible as the product solution during third party design enablement sales efforts and technical promotions.
- Coordinate joint sales relationships between Chartered’s account teams and those of
Experience:
- 5 years experience in IC design, EDA and/or IP industry required.
- 3 – 5 years experience in strategic marketing and/or global account sales required.
- 3 – 5 years experience in developing and managing 3rd party relationship programs require.
Essential Attributes:
- Candidate must be able to understand Chartered's overall business and product strategies, the targeted custome’s requirements, and have experience in IC design, EDA and the third party design eco-system industry.
- Candidate must be able to ensure Chartered obtains world class solutions and support from third party EDA, IP and Design Services partners.
- An excellent written, verbal and presentation skill with proven influence management experience is required.
- Well developed interpersonal and influence management skills a must.
- Strong Leadership skills a nd being able to contribute effectively as a team player are required.
Education: BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required, with MBA desired
