Job Purpose:
Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing, one of the world's top dedicated semiconductor foundries, offers leading-edge technologies down to 45 nanometer, enabling today's system-on-chip designs. We are looking for a Wed Editor/Writer . The ideal candidate will be a proficient and passionate writer who can transform and develop the context of technical materials and other documentations to compelling contents for the company website and other deliverables. Candidates must have proven ability to create clear, accurate and timely content materials that meet the target audience needs. He or she must work well in a team environment where most of the content providers are located in Chartered's corporate HQ in Singapore; and therefore, must develop a strong relationship with this team. Must be highly assertive, self-motivated and flexible with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership of the content development for Chartered's website.
- Regular updates and maintenance of web content.
- Research, plan and develop compelling web content materials and other collaterals or deliverables.
- Ability to work diligently with subject matter experts and gather content in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with senior webmaster on website presentation and maintenance.
- Work closely with various internal teams, i.e. product marketing, industry marketing, design engineering, field engineering, sales and others.
- Adhere to quality standards and corporate guidelines.
- Must be willing to pitch in with various marcom related projects as needed.
- Excellent writing, proof-reading, editing and copywriting skills.
- Proven ability to transform raw technical materials into compelling web content.
- Ability to produce clear, accurate and well-organized content that requires minimal editing.
Experience:
- 5 years experience in semiconductor or high-tech writing and editing.
- 5 - 10 years in high-tech or semiconductor industries.
- High-tech project management skills.
- Understanding of website framework and publishing tools, HTML, FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat and other related tools is a plus.
Essential Attributes:
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Semiconductor/engineering experience necessary.
- Must be able to work on deadlines. Must be comfortable with creating content for the web.
- Self-starter and strong team player.
- Able to work with little, or no supervision.
Education: BS or BA degree or equivalent.
