The Company also announced its relocation to a new and expanded premise in Yokohama, reinforcing the importance of close proximity to its customers.

In his new role, Mr Suzuki will manage the Company's business in Japan and oversee marketing, customer service and field engineering support activities. "Japan represents a key growth region for Chartered; and the move to prominent new offices and hiring of a new general manager further demonstrates our commitment to this region," said Bruno Guilmart, president of Chartered's Japan and Asia Pacific regions. "In addition, Suzuki's leadership and vast experience in the Japanese semiconductor industry will be important in establishing trusted, long-term strategic relationships with Japanese semiconductor companies."
