CHARTERED HONORS TOP SUPPLIERS FOR EXCELLENCE IN FAB SUPPORT
SINGAPORE - February 25, 2005 - Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing (Nasdaq: CHRT and SGX-ST: Chartered), one
of the world's top dedicated semiconductor foundries, today honored its equipment, materials and services suppliers
during Supplier Day 2005, the company's annual event honoring the achievements of its value-chain partners.
"Overall, we see an improvement in our suppliers' performance due to their greater participation and contribution
of technical expertise and experience to support successful execution in our fabs," said Tang Yong "TY" Ang, vice
president, quality and fab support operations at Chartered. "As Chartered enters into volume manufacturing at our

we are involving our suppliers in engineering projects with Chartered's manufacturing teams to aggressively drive
